WORKING TOGETHER
Good questions. Clearer expectations.
Start with the work you need, the records you have, and what can be clarified before an engagement.
Choosing the work
Can I work with you for just bookkeeping or just taxes?
Yes. Start with the support you need. Bookkeeping and tax preparation are separate services, and we can discuss bringing them together when that makes sense for you.
What if my books are behind?
That is a good place to start a conversation. We will review the months involved and the condition of your records, then scope catch-up or cleanup work before ongoing bookkeeping begins.
Who is this for?
Our services are designed for small-business owners, self-employed people, and individuals. Your business structure, filing requirements, and location help determine the right fit.
How is pricing determined?
Bookkeeping scope depends on factors such as transaction volume, number of accounts, and any catch-up work. Tax preparation depends on return complexity. You will receive a proposed scope and fee before work begins.
What is the difference between catch-up and cleanup?
Catch-up work addresses missing periods. Cleanup reviews records that already exist but may have errors, unreconciled balances, or uncertain categories. A records review can identify whether you need one, the other, or a combination.
Does QuickBooks support mean you are certified by Intuit?
No certification or affiliation is claimed here. Software support is assessed against the application, access, and tasks involved before a scope is agreed.
Tax scope and records
Does having an LLC determine the return I need?
No. LLC describes a legal structure, while federal income tax treatment can depend on ownership and elections. Choose “Not sure yet” in the outline if the treatment needs review; do not guess from the business name.
Can a bookkeeping report replace all my tax documents?
No. Reports help explain business activity, but a preparer may need supporting records and information outside the books. The required documents depend on your circumstances and the agreed tax work.
What should I do if I have a tax notice?
Read every page, keep the notice, and note any requested action and response date. Do not wait for scheduling on this site to open if action is due. Notice review, response preparation, and representation are separate scopes that require confirmation.
Can I upload my records here?
No. This website does not accept documents, identification numbers, account credentials, or copies of notices. Confirm an approved sharing method and the engagement scope before sending sensitive information.
Preparing a conversation
Can I book an appointment or send an inquiry now?
Inquiries and online scheduling are not open. The consultation outline helps you organize broad scope details on this page, but does not send a message or make an appointment.
Does the outline save or transmit my answers?
No. Answers stay in the page’s memory and clear when the page reloads. The website does not put them in the address bar, browser storage, or a submission. It asks for broad categories, not identifying details.
Will the estimator give me a dollar quote?
Not with the current fee information. It suggests a useful service conversation. A scope and fee must be agreed before work begins; a suggestion is not an engagement or a guaranteed price.
Can you tell me which states require a return?
That requires a review of the relevant facts and jurisdictions. The outline asks which states may be involved to help frame a later conversation. It does not determine filing obligations or promise support in every jurisdiction.
When does an engagement begin?
A website visit, an outline, or an initial conversation does not create an engagement. Suitability, practitioner authority where needed, the work to be performed, a fee, and written engagement terms must be confirmed.
Information on this website is general and is not tax advice. Tax advice is provided only after an engagement is signed. Outcomes depend on your individual circumstances.
